WEEKLY BLOG: Sept.14-21 2009

This is a hand-drawn sketch for a band name I've been considering. It's got my hands and my daughter's feet. Above it are two mockups of Fiendies posters.

IFDM Assignment 3 Illustrator Experiments

Above are my first meddlings with 'Illustrator'. I'm mixing shapes from my haptic models with vector graphics. I'd like to learn better ways to manipulate the background pictures, and how to crop the overall image .

WEEKLY BLOG:Sept.8-14, 2009

At the top of the page is my hand-drawn sketch of me trying to figure out 'Illusrator'. The rest of these images are new photos of my Haptic Models. Rather than trying to reveal the structure and idea of the forms, I'm concealing it as much as possible so that abstract shapes can be achieved for use with vector graphics.

WEEKLY BLOG:ending labor day,September7,2009 (pt.2)

(UNM photo by Ben Roberts and Rainbow Mesa by naturescapes.net)
My first few weeks at UNM have flown by and I'm experiencing a cautious optimism, hence the rainbow mesa. The Haptic Modeling was crazy. It should have been called Hectic Modeling!

WEEKLY BLOG:ending labor day,September7,2009

As I monkey with Photoshop and try to make it work, I find that it's easier to pass the time if I work on things that are relevant to projects at hand. As I work on the script for Desdemona I find it inspiring and kind of funny to make mock-up posters (with fake reviews). The radically altered images of me are for use in future gig posters and such (I'm a musician).

IFDM Assignment 2 HAPTIC MODELING

Here are my six favorites and an homage to Professor Castillo's example (directly above). I just grabbed a glue gun and went for it, and fortunately I enjoy the results.
