At Last A SYNTHESIS IMAGE!
This is my first crude attempt at a synthesis image. Included are a close up of my guitar neck(by Louis Le Ray), a photo of the St.Paul skyline (by Zak Metz), and some doodling of mine to tie it all together. Ha ha! I'm amazed this image exists at all. Creating this was like getting your toe stuck in the doorway of a banquet.

Image 4: NOT A SYNTHESIS IMAGE (It's me in an alternate rainbow reality)
Yes, I admit it. I'm struggling in vain to create a synthesis image. So while I fumble with the controls of Photoshop I humbly offer this half accidental warping of my profile pic. It's really a lot easier watching someone else cut pieces of a picture up and stick them together with other pictures (and smear it all around with a digital butter knife) than it is when you're trying to do it yourself. That's not to say I'm giving up. If it takes me all night I'm gonna figure this thing out.
City 1: ST.PAUL,MN (Photo by Matt Jhsn on Flickr)

This is St. Paul, MN where I was born. Notice the face in the clouds. I lived in the twin cities area 'til I was eight years old. I remember lots of snow, bundled up in winter-wear, marveling at the relative warmth of zero degrees. Riding my bike for the first time straight into a parked car. Avoiding neighborhood bullies by leaning against the chain-linked fence between myself and a viciously barking dog. Down the big white hill in my yellow boat-like plastic sled. Good times.

Landscape Image 1: EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY by Sergio Tudela
I love how this landscape image captures the elements; Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and the Space between here and there. I usually bend the rules but I'm trying to learn how to upload an image from the web onto my blog without getting sued for copyright infringement. I lucked out with this image because I'm actually playing it terribly safe; this is from the creative commons section of flickr. Most of the images I love are very ambiguous as to whether they are usable or not, and they're from random sources that don't seem very 'official'. Maybe if I just credit the photographer...I don't know, so for now I'll find what I need using 'acceptable' sources.
